Terry's Priorities

As Councilmember, Terry Taplin has been a champion for working and middle class families.

If re-elected, he will build coalitions of local leaders, labor, climate advocates and Berkeley residents to:

Improve public safety for our neighborhoods and families

Revitalizing San Pablo Avenue and Berkeley Waterfront

Build more affordable housing for Berkeleyans of all ages

Invest in safe and inclusive transit, pedestrian, and bicycle infrastructure

Bring accountability and transparency to our budget

Build a climate-resilient future for our children and families

“As a Black gay man and full-time caregiver to my mother, I understand the struggle that faces far too many low- and middle-income Berkeley residents, especially people of color.

I am running for re-election to ensure they have a voice at City Hall fighting for them.”
